The newly formed STHS yearbook staff is excited to offer 3 Early Bird Specials for yearbooks, senior pages & business ads for the 2012-2013 Statesman. Through September 7th, prices are: Yearbooks $ 50.00 Senior Pages $200.00 = full page ~ $125.00 = 1/2 page ~ $ 60.00 = 1/4 page ~ $40.00= 1 /8 page Business Ads $200.00 full page $125.00 1/2 page $ 65.00 1/4 page $ 40.00 1/8 page All prices will increase after September 7th. Yearbook staff members will be accepting payments during Senior Portrait dates, July 30th & 31st, as well as, each day of registration, August 6th – 9th. The athletic department at Strom Thurmond High School has a limited number of used helmets that have been cleaned and freshly striped and decaled. You can own your very own piece of history for $50.00 per helmet. If interested, please come to STHS and ask for Coach Scott or Coach Sawyer. Cash or money order only - these helmets are not equipped for recreational use.

All meals served must meet patterns established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  However, if a child has been determined by a Doctor to be handicapped and the handicap would prevent the child from eating regular school meals, this school will make any substitutions prescribed by the doctor.  If a substitution is needed, there will be no extra charge for the meal.  If you believe your child needs substitutions because of a handicap, please get in touch with us for further information.  Contact Melissa Jackson Supervisor or Brenda Bibbs, Secretary at 803-275-1788.

Free and Reduced Price Eligibility:  Students who qualified for free or reduced price meals last school year can eat on the same status this year until October 1st or until a new application is returned and processed.  If students have not returned an application and had it processed by this date they will have to pay for meals.  Students who receive letters stating their status is "FREE", due to being directly certified, DO NOT need to return application.  If you paid last year you must pay this year until your application is processed.

Family Applications:  Return only ONE application per family.  Be sure and include the school name your child attends on the application.  It is best to return the application to your youngest child's school. 

Meal Payment Options:  Parents may pay by the day, week, month, or year for school meals.  We encourage prepaying when possible.  A helpful way of knowing when to pay is to mark the date, amount paid and when additional money is due on your calendar.  We ask parents to make checks for the exact amount.  We do not give change from checks.  Parents can also pre-pay monies in student's special sales account.

How do we rate?  Our cafeterias are graded by the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) like all restaurants in South Carolina.  All of our managers and most of our operators have completed and passed a 10 hour course in food safety and sanitation.  Our ratings are available at any time to our customers.  Our rates last year were all A's.
