Celebrating Years of Service

Douglas Elementary School salutes two educators who have served to inspire and challenge students during their careers in education. We thank Ms. Hennessee and Ms. Hanberry for helping Douglas' student shine. We wish each of them the best as they begin new adventures upon their retirement.

Featured in this picture are Ms. Hennesse, Ms. Hanberry, Mrs. Jackson, and Ms. Lewis, former Douglas Elementary Principal.

PBIS: Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports

Douglas Elementary is a PBIS School. Part of the PBIS program is developing a school-wide system of supportive disciplinary practices including incentives for students who maintain exemplary behavior. If you are interested in making donations to our Paw Paw Store for student incentives, we welcome you to contact our school Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Rhoden. Paws up for great behavior!

Author & Motivational Speaker Visits Douglas Elementary School

Salute to Edgefield County School District's Distinguished Reading Teacher of the Year

Douglas' very own Julie Jackson was the recipient of Edgefield County School District's Distinguished Reading Teacher of the Year!

We applaud Mrs. Jackson's exemplary work. Click here for Mrs. Jackson's biography. We salute Mrs. Jackson as one of Edgefield's outstanding educators.
