Parent/student Power School log in will be disabled on June 30, 2012. The Parents/student portal will reopen on Registration day at your child's school.

The newly formed STHS yearbook staff is excited to offer 3 Early Bird Specials for yearbooks, senior pages & business ads for the 2012-2013 Statesman. Through September 7th, prices are: Yearbooks $ 50.00 Senior Pages $200.00 = full page ~ $125.00 = 1/2 page ~ $ 60.00 = 1/4 page ~ $40.00= 1 /8 page Business Ads $200.00 full page $125.00 1/2 page $ 65.00 1/4 page $ 40.00 1/8 page All prices will increase after September 7th. Yearbook staff members will be accepting payments during Senior Portrait dates, July 30th & 31st, as well as, each day of registration, August 6th 9th. The athletic department at Strom Thurmond High School has a limited number of used helmets that have been cleaned and freshly striped and decaled. You can own your very own piece of history for $50.00 per helmet. If interested, please come to STHS and ask for Coach Scott or Coach Sawyer. Cash or money order only - these helmets are not equipped for recreational use.

The Foundation for Public Schools in Edgefield County is sponsoring the Sandra Reece Friar Scholarship Fund. The foundation is accepting donations at this time. Please send your contributions to Joel Jolly at P.O. Box 28 Edgefield, SC 29824 - please put the Sandra Reece Friar Scholarship Fund in the for line on your check or contribution

All paraprofessionals hired must have a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent.

All certified teachers hired after the fall of 2002 and teaching in a program supported with Title I funds are considered highly qualifed based upon the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
