Record requests must be submitted per the requirements listed below.
Record Requests from In District and Out of District Schools
For current students who have enrolled or intend to enroll in another school within district, a change of location form must be submitted to the Office of Exceptional Children (OEC).
For current students who have enrolled or intend to enroll in a school outside of the Edgefield County School District, a record request form must be submitted to the last school attended. A request can be submitted by mail, fax, or email to the applicable school's data clerk.
Records Request and Agencies
The request must be on letterhead, contain the agency, school or school district's name, contact information and specific records that are being requested. Outside agencies must also include a signed release from the parent/guardian if the student is under 18 years of age or from the student if he/she is 18 years of age.
Special Education Archives
If a student has graduated or has been withdrawn from school for more than one year, then requests must be submitted to the attention of Office of Exceptional Children by fax to 803-275-1757 or by email to Yvonne Nicholson at firstname.lastname@example.org
