Windie Burton
Assistant PrincipalGreetings Families,
I feel truly honored and blessed to serve as the new Assistant Principal of the Parker Pride Family. This is going to be an exciting and remarkable year! I look forward to partnering with you and your families as we work together to help our students reach their highest potential - academically, socially and emotionally.
Born and raised in Edgefield County, I have been in Education for 16 years. Prior to joining the Parker family, I was the Assistant Principal and Curriculum Coach at Douglas Elementary. Before becoming an administrator, I was a kindergarten, second and third grade classroom teacher and also a teenage counselor.
On a more personal note, my husband of 27 years, Rev. Christopher Burton and I enjoy spending time with our two grown children, Chris and Sabrina.I believe that as educators, we have the moral obligation to treat each and every student the way that we would want our own children to be treated. I also believe that our students can be even more successful when parents and school personnel are working together to meet each child’s needs. Please know that your input is encouraged, valued and plays a significant role in your child’s success.

Best,
