Trantech Radiator Products Continues Legacy of Support for STCTC Welding Education

Johnston, SC – In 1983, Tranter, now known as Trantech Radiator Products, invested in community career and technical education through the donation of a new Miller Mig welding machine to the Strom Thurmond Career and Technology Center (STCTC) Welding Department.

The company uses the process of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) throughout their plant to manufacture electrical transformer radiators, and over 39 years the Miller Mig machine was utilized to train STCTC students to weld using the wire process.

The Miller Mig eventually became too expensive to repair and just as it did in 1983, Trantech Radiator Products stepped forward to support Edgefield County students with a new donation – a new Lincoln Mig 260 welding machine. Edgefield County Public Schools, STCTC, and the STCTC Welding 3-4 Class are most grateful for the legacy of support for public education provided by Trantech Radiator Products and its employees.

THANK YOU Trantech Radiator Products!
